On Friday, the movers came to the home to estimate how much it would cost to ship all our belongings to Korea. I don't know why but I was a bit nervous. It just seems so real... yes, I know it's real but I think I've been trying to keep my distance from the reality of moving. We have decided to take most of our furniture because Joe has found a large enough place to accommodate our things. I initially didn't want to take all our furniture because I wanted to buy new things. :) But now I think it's a good thing. This way my girls will have things from "home" that they are used to and familiar with.
This weekend we also booked our flight to Thailand and then to Korea. I have butterflies in my tummy!! We have decided to take a vacation before heading to Korea. I pray that this vacation will bring my family peace, rest and reconnection with one another.
So this week I'm seriously going to concentrate on packing my things and getting rid of all the things I don't need. I realized that I have accumulated many things in the past 3 almost 4 years living in this home. I feel a spirit of determination this week. I'm hoping it will help me to get a lot done. I need to stay focused and determined.
This week I'm going to focus on the book of Jeremiah 29:11 to help me get things done!! :)
"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

My First Post!
So here is my very first post... very exciting! I thought I would post my experience of moving from Canada to Korea and my life in Korea. This blogging is really stepping out of my comfort zone. I'm not a fantastic writer (so please show grace to all my spelling and writing errors.) but I wanted a channel to communicate with my family and friends about my life and experiences in Korea. I hope this will be a way to keep in touch and feel connected. Once I get more comfortable with this whole thing, I will start posting pictures and video.
